Hello world, My name is Garibaldi aka Gari..... I really don't care what you call me as long as you call for me. I was impounded in a high volume county shelter recently and slated for euthanasia due to my age and FIV positive status. I was actually quite content there and happy go lucky - nothing phases me much and I had no idea my time was up. I was sedated for euthansia when a shelter employee decided to scan me for a microchip one last time - hallelujah to my higher power I had a chip!!!!! Euthanasia delayed! Unfortunately the chip led nowhere HOWEVER........A volunteer with SCP found out about me and came to get me- WOW! BEST DAY EVER!!!!!! I was purring my head off and rubbing my cage bars when she came to meet me - well, guess what!?! She took me home with her. Whew - serious life or death crisis averted! I do not have one single mean bone in my body - I only crave affection and love. Being 15+ years old, the vet was pleasantly surprised with my bloodwork results. I have hyper-thyroidism - easily treated! Yay! Everything else looked good! I am amazing with all people and other animals - nothing phases me. I use the litterbox like a champ despite being declawed. I am super skinny right now but once I start my topical thyroid meds I will gain some weight. I am currently 6.5 lbs and should be about 15 lbs! I do some have some time left in me (I am a champion!) and lots of love to give to a tender-hearted soul willing to spend my golden years with me..... Could this be you? If so, let's meet - guarantee you will fall for me! Love, Gari

The cat adoption fee is $110 (or $175 for two cats). Second Chance Pets is a foster-based organization so all animals live in foster homes throughout the area. Adoptions are held on Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Petco Clear Lake store located at 2410 Bay Area Boulevard (at Space Center). All cats are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV and feline leukemia, fully vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed and microchipped. If interested in one of our cats please feel free to complete an application, found on our website www.secondchancepets.org, and return it to us for pre-review. We do not have a phone number so please email us at pets2adopt@yahoo.com or come visit with us on Saturday!
