Easter Egg Huntz for Mutz

The Easter Egg Huntz for Mutz will be on Sunday, March 28th from 1 - 4 p.m. The Easter Parade will begin at 2:00 p.m. and the Easter Egg Hunt will be approximately 2:30 p.m. We will have Easter Bunny pictures, an Easter Parade and the egg hunt. Be sure to dress your dog in its Easter Bonnet or outfit so they can walk in the parade. With each registration fee you will receive 1 FREE HOTDOG, 1 FREE EASTER BASKET, and 1 FREE T SHIRT (While supplies last). Please tell everyone you know to come and have a great day with their "best friends". Please tell all your human friends to come enjoy the day with you also. Registration at the park will begin at 1:00. To register on line, just send an e mail and give us the following information: Your name, phone #, and names and breeds of your dogs. You cannot pay the registration fee of $25 on line. If you have registered on line, just go to the express registration line at the park and you will be able to make the payment quickly. Then you can start enjoying all the activities. ON LINE REGISTRATION ENDS ON 03/26/09. There will be a whole table of great prizes to choose from if your dog finds a special egg containing a prize notice. You can view the prizes in advance to decide what you like best. We have treats, dog food, toys, etc., etc. We will also have special prizes which will be given to the winners of 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the Easter costume competition. There will also be a gift for the dogs who win. One of the prizes is a gift card and another is a wonderful basket full of dog goodies including a beautiful hand crafted blanket. There will be specially planned games that the dogs should really enjoy. We will have the biscuit relay, musical sit, and the all time favorite, the hot dog dunk. Even if your dog does not participate it is a lot of fun just to watch. Everyone who registers will get a FREE HOT DOG. There will also be other hot dogs and chips available for sale along with all the trimmings and soft drinks and water.

The Clear Lake Shores Farmers Market is held every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 1020 Marina Bay Drive (FM2094), next to Skipper's. Products include fruits, vegetables, flowers, dairy products, fish, meat, baked goods, coffee, eggs, organic baby food, and more, and vary each week according to seasonality and availability of high-quality produce. During the peak growing months they have many locally grown products that are pesticide-free. Learn more at the Farmers Market web site.

Collect empty ink jet and laser printer cartridges and RecyclePlace.com pays Second Chance Pets up to $4 for laser cartridges. Please bring used cartridges to Petco on Saturdays between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. (Recycleplace.com does not accept ALL brands of cartridges. Click here for a list of acceptable cartridges.)

Cell Phone Drive - Extended! Keep them coming! Recycle your old cell phones and accessories and help Second Chance Pets raise money! Just bring them to Petco on Bay Area Boulevard before 4:00 p.m. any Saturday.
