Second Chance Pets' primary adoption venue is the Clear Lake Petco store (2410 Bay Area Boulevard) where we show cats and dogs available for adoption every Saturday from 11:00 - 4:00. Select cats may also be seen during the week in our condo units at this Petco.
We also have a mini-adoption event on the 4th Friday of each month at the JSC Federal Credit Union in Clear Lake City (1330 Gemini) from 10:00 - 2:00. Cats will be there on even months and dogs on odd months.
Right now our #1 need is for more volunteers willing to foster a cat or dog!
SCP does not have a shelter so our ability to rescue animals is limited by the availability of openings in foster homes. For more information click here or scroll down.

SCP is ALWAYS looking for new fosters but has an urgent need right now as our existing foster network is full!
Because we do not have a shelter, we cannot accept a new cat or dog into the program unless there is a foster available who will provide shelter, food, care and love until the animal is adopted (SCP pays the pet’s vet bills).
We need additional compassionate people who have room in their homes and hearts to care for a rescued cat or dog until we are able to find it a forever home. Fostering is easy and rewarding - providing temporary care for a pet awaiting adoption is a great family volunteer project with the satisfaction of knowing you are saving a life!
