Rex would prefer a home without small children

Hi, I'm Rex. I was found roaming a Bellaire neighborhood. My foster thinks I was mistreated sometime in the past, when being approached, my head goes down like I expect to get hit. I have been carefully introduced to multiple strangers and all has been good, I get along well with 8 of the 9 dogs I currently live with (mostly large dogs with one 25lber). The exception is an intact male that has a propensity for being dominant. I am most likely a Shepherd and Spaniel mix who was born around August 2020. I'm house and crate trained and rides well in a car. Boy, do I love attention. I will curl up next to my foster on the couch or at his feet to be close. I pay very little attention to the outside cats at my foster's, and I'll leave immediately with a sharp "no". I'm working on learning basic commands - sit, stay, down and here. I have not been around any children yet. I'm not interested in retrieving or playing ball, but I like to go on walks and am doing very well on the leash. My ideal home would be a couple or single owner, probably with no small children. Other dogs should be OK with proper introductions.

If you are interested in me please send an email to scpdogworld@gmail.com to get more information on how to fill out an application and have a great meet and greet to see if we are a match made in heaven.
