Second Chance Pets
Second Chance Pets is a foster-based rescue organization - we do not have a shelter or employ any paid staff. Instead, we rely on a network of caring volunteers for all facets of our animal rescue and adoption activities. There are volunteer opportunities abound and you will get great joy and satisfaction in knowing that you played a key role in helping SCP place our adoptable animals into loving, forever homes! Here are some great ways you can help:
Foster a Dog or Cat
Our #1 need is always more foster homes and the whole family can participate! To learn more about fostering for SCP please see our Foster Brochure.
Assist at Adoption Events
Setup/breakdown tables and cages, water/walk dogs, sell t-shirts.
Animal Transport
Help transport foster animals to/from vet appointments or adoption events.
Cat Condo Cleaning
Work a weekly 1-hour shift to care for cats (3-4) staying in the Petco condos.
Fund Raising Events
Join a committee for our annual fundraiser/auction and/or other events as planned.
Community Outreach
Be an "SCP Ambassador" by helping staff our information booth at local events.
Publicity and Communication
Help get the word out about Second Chance Pets to others in the community.
Donation Drives
Collect food and supplies needed to care for animals in our foster program.
Administrative Support
Apply your computer/financial/software skills to various tasks.
Photography
Take photos at Second Chance Pets events to capture the moment or help photograph adoptable animals.
