Hi I'm Ricky Bobby! I am an orange tabby male born around June 2018. I was impounded at a high volume shelter about 1 year ago. I had bad back legs at that time but I was chosen for adoption after sitting in a cage for several months - yay! Sadly, the people that adopted me returned me recently, right before the holidays:( They said that I just wasn't "the cat for them." The shelter sent out a plea for help since my bad back legs and a slippery metal cage were not working out well. Nice people with SCP came and took me into foster care and then to a vet - hey, my doctor was super cool. He flipped me over and held me on my back while petting my belly - love him! It turns out, I have scoliosis and both of my back legs are weak. I am not "lame" and one back leg works a lot better than the other. There really is no fix for me as I was likely born this way. Unfortunately, it was not caught earlier and it is now just a way of life. One of my back legs drags a bit and I don't have a lot of control over it. The other back leg is weak, but serves me well. So yes, I am a bit of a special needs case. I just need a caring owner to keep a close eye on me:) I cannot jump up or down much but I spend hours entertaining myself playing with stuffed toys and balls - I play vigorously! I am still young and have so much playfulness inside of me! My foster mom thinks it is really a miracle that I survived on the streets like this. I am super outgoing and have never met a stranger - there is nothing shy about me! I was a staff favorite at the shelter as well as at the vet. Don't worry, I can use the litter box like a champ despite these bad legs. I am getting to know all of my foster kitty friends and I think they are pretty cool! Really, I just need a shallow litter box, toys (lots of toys) and love. Do you need a kitty with a disability in your life? If so, I am your guy! Love, Ricky
