This big, stocky boy is full of love and joy! He’s a fun loving, goofy, playful pup and wants to be everyone’s best friend. He came to a high volume shelter with major skin problems, worms and grossly underweight. He was rescued by SCP and what a transformation (see the pics)! He's all fixed up and ready for his new home. He's still young (est EOB 1/31/2020) and weighs 78 pounds now. He is dog, cat and kid friendly too. What’s not to love? He loves all balls and squeaker toys. He’s been through basic obedience training and walks great on a leash. He’s also really improved his listening skills! His favorite time of day is when he gets to eat. This boy loves his food!!! He likes to chew but if you have plenty of chew bones, toys and balls, he will leave those things he shouldn’t chew on alone. Once he gets all his energy out, he loves to snuggle. He has proven himself to be trustworthy when left alone so he isn’t crated when people aren't home. He’d do best in a home that is active and would like to take him on adventures. He has some quirks but don’t we all? He doesn’t like to share food so he eats in his crate and gets to come out once everyone else is done. When you are carrying his food to his crate he does his happy dinner dance and will open his own crate and run right in and wait for you to put his food down (such a smart and good boy!). He does have some barrier reactivity but that is easily managed and he can be curious and try following you out the front door so you should keep an eye out when coming and going.
