Hi, I’m Gravy, an adult (est. DOB 2/14/2016), sweet, laid back Australian Cattle Dog mix who weighs about 50 lbs but with all the good care I’m getting in my foster home, I hope to get to about 60 pounds. I was rescued from a high-volume shelter and was a little shy, but once I realized I was out of the shelter and in a home, I’m starting to blossom. I was diagnosed with heartworms but I’ve had all my treatments and the vet said good to go, so now I’m looking for my forever home. My foster says I’m a really good boy! I’m house trained and I like my vittles, but take treats very gently. I’m very smart and am looking forward to learning all kinds of new things in my new home. I’m good with other dogs. There are no kids or cats at my foster’s home so not sure about them, but I’m not aggressive, so with the proper introductions I may be fine with them. In fact, I’ve met some kids at Adoption Events and was just fine with them. I love to play chase games with the other dogs at my foster’s home, racing around the yard and I don’t even care if I win the race! I can jump a chain link fence so I can’t be left unattended in the yard. If I do get out, and you call me, I’ll head right back for some loving. My perfect family would help me perfect my leash training so we can talk long walks but also willing for me to be your couch buddy to hand out together. Jogging may be a good “first trick” to learn. You could teach me not to “zoom around” and I could help you get your speed up.
If you are interested in me, please send an email to to get more information on how to fill out an application and have a great meet and greet to see if we are a match made in heaven.
