I'm Brother Brownie. A really nice family found me and my brother, Mason, wandering the streets at Mason Park. I'm a whopping 7.5 lbs miniature rat terrier mix and an energetic adult (estimated DOB 8/18/2017) who loves to play with other dogs in my foster home but sometimes I prefer to just watch more than play! I'm very scared when I meet new dogs and humans and it takes me a little while to warm up to them but once I do, I'm their best friend. There are no cats at my foster home so not sure about them. My foster says I'm "amazing" with kids and looking for my forever kid! I've got the house training down but my foster takes me out often to run with the other dogs in the yard. I'm crate trained and will run straight to my crate when it thunders or there is a loud noise. I love taking walks with my family and gets lots of praise on how well I do. My foster says I'm a "cuddler", and I know being close to my family is the best thing in the world. I'd rather spend my time cuddling than just about anything else! Are you the family looking for a Brother Brownie to call your own?? I have to tell you one very important piece of information. I LOVE my brother named Mason. We are a very bonded pair and would love to be adopted together. When we are separated we cry for each other. Please come meet us one day! The SCP people say there is a big discount for adopting us as a pair!
If you would like a meet and greet, please send an email to to find out if I will be coming to the SCP Adoption Event at Clear Lake Petco on Saturday so you can see how great I am.
Adopter for this dog must reside in the immediate Houston/Galveston area and be at least 25 years old. A home visit may be required prior to this dog going to any home.
The adoption fee for a dog is $190 (or $245 for puppies) which includes State of Texas sales tax.
Adoptions are held on Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Clear Lake Petco, 2410 Bay Area Boulevard. All dogs are microchipped, on heartworm protection, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and treated for fleas. Since all of our dogs are in foster homes, an individual dog may not be at our weekly Adoption Event due to conflict with a foster's schedule. If you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please send an email to so that the Dog Coordinator can let you know if the dog will be at the Saturday Adoption Event at Petco. If you just want to meet some great dogs looking for their forever home, please come visit with us on Saturday!
