Beagle Mix

Black & Red

Hi, I'm Cindy Lou Who, and my foster says I'm the sweetest most loving girl she knows. I was rescued from a high volume shelter with an itchy skin condition which the vet thinks might be from an allergy. I'm on an allergy medication and being treated for heartworms and doing great. My foster and I are working on determining what my allergy is but if it's a food allergy that might mean a hypo-allergic food will be needed for me. You will need to continue my heartworm treatments (SCP will pay for the treatments at one of our vets) and keep me quiet between treatments. Not sure what happened in my past, but I've had at least a litter of pups and I was probably in a crate or pen a lot because I'm just learning all about a yard. I'm good with dogs. No cats or kids at my foster's, but I'm not aggressive, and in fact, when I visited an adoption event I really enjoyed the families that visited me - all shapes and sizes. I'm a little nervous when I'm not with my people and don't care to be locked up in a crate. I've got the run of the house now and my foster says learn quickly the house rules. I'll need to be taken out often to go potty and encouraged to walk in that new green thingie I'm learning about, I think it's called grass. I sleep with my foster and other dogs in her bed at night, and when I wake up in the morning, I have to pinch myself to make sure living in a home is not just a dream. I'd love a family who is quiet and has time to give me lots of love and reassurance, take me on leashed walks, is ready for lots of snuggling and hugging and will provide me a place next to them on the bed at night. I love taking walks and am doing good on a leash, but can get scared so you will need to make sure I have a martingale collar so I can't pull out of it when I think I need to hide from something.

If you are interested in me, please send an email to to get more information on how to fill out an application and have a great meet and greet to see if we are a match made in heaven.
