Bobby Earl was impounded at a small city shelter with a hurt leg. He sat in a cage for about three months and got a little chubby. When we met him we found that his back left leg was messed up and he wasn't able to use it well. He stands on his bad leg but his paw is curled under so he walks on the top of his paw. He cannot use this leg to scratch his ears and it slips out from underneath him occasionally. We took him to the vet and it turns out he was hit by a car at some point and his pelvic bone was shattered. A bone fragment caused nerve damage. We are going to see how he gets along with the leg like this but it may need to be amputated. Time will tell as he moves around and gets some exercise out of a cage. He is an amazing cat - AMAZING! He is the sweetest boy and he loves to give head-butts. He is excellent with other kitties and loves belly rubs! He is about 16 lbs but that is after sitting in a cage for three months. We are working with him to get his weight down a bit:) He has huge paws!
